Privacy Policy — Boom Pop Boop

Effective 19 August 2026

Boom Pop Boop is made by Lewis Logic LLC (Colorado, USA).

The short version

Boom Pop Boop collects nothing. No names, no email addresses, no photos, no location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no usage analytics — nothing at all, about children or adults. The app has no accounts to sign into, no ads, and no in-app purchases.

Nothing you or your child does in the app is transmitted anywhere. The app makes no network requests of its own: everything it needs — the sounds, the artwork, the letters and numbers — is built into the app itself and stays on the device.

What the app stores on your device

Nothing that identifies anyone, and nothing that survives closing the app. There is no score, no history, no profile, and no saved settings. The sound switch on the home screen lasts for the session and returns to on the next time the app opens.

Permissions

The app asks for no permission that can reach personal information. It cannot use the microphone, the camera, your location, your contacts, or your photos — the microphone and storage permissions that come bundled with the audio library are explicitly stripped out of the app before it ships.

The two permissions it does use are:

  • Vibration — the small buzz when a balloon pops.

  • Audio settings — so pops and letters can be heard even when the phone's silent switch is on.

On Android the app can also use the system's screen pinning feature, so a toddler can't wander out of the app. That is a setting on your device; it involves no data of any kind.

Speech

When a balloon pops, the app asks your device's own built-in text-to-speech software to say the letter, number, or word on it. Those are fixed words chosen by us — never anything typed, recorded, or otherwise supplied by you or your child. How that speech software behaves is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policy, since it is part of your device's operating system rather than part of this app.

Children's privacy

Boom Pop Boop is designed for young children, and it is built so there is nothing to protect: it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, which satisfies the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by not gathering data in the first place.

There is no advertising in the app — no behavioural advertising, no contextual advertising, no cross-app tracking, and no third-party advertising software of any kind. There is no way for a child to contact anyone, spend money, or reach the open internet from inside the app.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. Nothing about you is sold, shared, or disclosed, because nothing about you is collected.

Downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play is a transaction with Apple or Google, not with us. Those companies collect their own information under their own privacy policies, and we receive only anonymous, aggregated statistics from them — for example, how many times the app has been installed in a country. Nothing in that tells us who you are.

Your rights

Requests to access, correct, export, or delete personal information are always answered the same way: we hold none to act on. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we process no personal data. Under the CCPA we sell no personal information and never have.

Changes

If a future version of the app ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change. Any change that affects children's privacy will be described plainly here rather than buried.
