ZTrainer Privacy Policy

ZTrainer (“the App”) is a martial arts training companion published by Lewis Logic LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.

The App is designed to work fully offline. Creating or connecting an account is optional and is only needed if you choose to use cloud backup and the leaderboards.

1. Information We Collect

If you do not sign in: all of your training data (techniques you’ve learned, practice history, streaks, repetitions, and any custom techniques) is stored only on your device. We do not receive it.

If you sign in with Google or Apple (to enable cloud save and leaderboards), we collect:

  • Account identifiers — your name (or display name) and email address, as provided by Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive only the relay address Apple provides.
  • Training data — the techniques you mark as learned, practice days, streaks, and repetition counts, so your progress can sync across your devices.
  • Optional profile details — a display name and the dojo/location you select, which appear on leaderboards.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and the App contains no third-party advertising or analytics tracking.

2. How We Use Information

  • To back up your training progress and sync it across your devices.
  • To display leaderboards (your display name, dojo, current streak, and category totals are visible to other signed-in users).
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How Information Is Stored and Shared

When you sign in, your account and training data are stored in our backend, hosted by Supabase, which acts as our data processor. Access is protected by row-level security so that only your account can read or write your private cloud backup. Leaderboard entries (display name, dojo, and training stats) are visible to other signed-in users of the App by design.

We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

If you have an account, you can permanently delete it and all associated cloud data at any time from within the App: Settings → “Delete account & cloud data.” This removes your profile, training logs, cloud backup, and leaderboard entries from our servers. You may also request deletion by emailing us at the address below.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is used by martial-arts students of varying ages. It does not require an account to function. If a student under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in their region) uses cloud features, a parent or guardian should create and manage the account and provide consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the name and email associated with a sign-in account created with parental involvement. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

Data transmitted between the App and our backend is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud data is protected by per-account access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through the App, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor applicable requests.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
